Mission grows out of a vision for Jesus – who he is and what he’s done. So as we speed toward Easter we want to take an evening to slow down and set our eyes on our Lord and Savior Jesus.
This will be a unique evening with a mixture of reflective worship, prayer, and scripture reading as we prepare our hearts for Easter.
You won’t want to miss out on this great time together.
1. Is there going to be ashes on our heads and the whole bit?
2. Is there a call for some sort of fasting as well?
1. I have been chain smoking since the Christmas service in order to produce the necessary ash. :)
No ash for us. Not that we have a problem with that but we’re just wanting to focus our attention on Christ.
2. No corporate call to fasting. Though we will call ppl to spend the season of Lent in reflection on Jesus. And if some find it useful to fast that will not be discouraged.
it would be a lil too catholic for my taste if we did ashes and fasting. i left the religion and came to lifeco because it was different from catholicism.
I actually won’t be there tonight I have class.
