Here’s some information that will hopefully help you with some of the questions that may still be on your mind regarding Affordable Christmas. Thank you for helping us empower and dignify local parents and caregivers so they can provide a memorable Christmas for their children!

  1. Will there be childcare for AC Volunteers? If at all possible, we’d like to ask you to make your own childcare arrangements for your children. We have a lot of kids who’ll be joining us as our guests for AC. If you can make your own arrangements for your kids, this will lighten the load for our games and crafts team. If it’s not possible to find your own childcare help, please let us know and we’ll do our best to work with you.
  2. What kinds of gifts should I purchase? If you’d like some direction as you shop for Affordable Christmas, you can find some help by CLICKING THIS. Please note, we DO NOT need coats, hats, and gloves at this time. We’re all stocked up on those items from the coat drive we did last February.
  3. When is the deadline to grab gift tags and donate gifts? This Sunday, November 25th, will be your last opportunity to grab gift tags. Next Sunday, December 2nd, will the your last opportunity to donate gifts on Sunday mornings.
  4. Can I contribute financially instead of shopping for gifts? Yes, you can! If you’d like to make a financial contribution to AC, you can do so in one of two ways.
  • First, you can give cash or make out a check to LifeConnection Church. If you’re giving via check, write “Affordable Christmas” in the memo line. Simply put the check in your offering envelope on Sunday morning. If you’re giving cash, make sure to write your name on the envelope for our records and indicate that it’s for Affordable Christmas.
  • Second, you can give online through The City. Simply click the “Giving” tab to the left of your newsfeed. Then, select “LifeConnection Independence” as the congregation. Third, select “Affordable Christmas” as the fund. Finally, fill out the amount you wish to contribute. When you’re done, click “next” and follow the prompts to finish your online contribution.
